A member of my family just declared:



"There're too many grains in there!" referring to the "grounds" in coffee
when the strainer does catch them all.  _Coffee grounds_ is a subentry in
eOED (only 3 quotes).  Google books returns 4900+ hits.  DARE has _coffee
grains_ only meaning "buttocks."
