Most of the time, the "coward" tag is attached because of killing of
unarmed people. But after the Dark Knight shooting, some conservatives
teed off on Holmes as a coward because he peacefully (if this word can
have any meaning in this context) surrendered to the police outside the
cinema. In this case, they considered him a coward because he _didn't_
kill himself. Sometimes a spree killer just can't win...
