"reveal" redux

We beat "the reveal" to death a while back; see e.g. http://arnoldzwicky.wordpress.com/2012/02/07/the-big-reveal/
for a review and extension (to "the big reveal"). And I remember debating a couple of weeks ago whether new instances were worth posting. But just for the benefit of all you Oscar A[DS]-listers this Sunday, the Times Thursday Style section today reveals, with the aid of a full page portrait of a penguin-suited Jake Gyllenhaal, that "a quarter-inch to a half-inch reveal is preferred", according to the text accompanying an arrow pointing to Gyllenhaal's shirt-cuff. On the other hand Rule 6 on the inside page of the article maintains that "the half-inch rule for the cuff reveal has always been inflexible". So maybe this is a partial reveal after all.
