Psychedelic?

On NPR this morning, there was a report about Connie Rice, who wrote a
book about the LAPD (which she also brought lawsuits against). The
LAPD was hosting the book-signing event--and the reporter described
this as "psychedelic." I think surreal was meant (since, after all,
Ms. Rice had begun her career suing the LAPD and was being feted by
them today).
