Much more likely that Pall, Mall and girl rhyme with cow rather than [bEw] and [hEw]. Very few dialects of the London area have a postvocalic lateral liquid.

So this presupposes the ability to rhyme [pEl mEl] with [gEl] (as in "bell", "hell"), right?
