An observation from the latest Tour de France--some of the commentators
say "will be on the podium in Paris" while others just squirt "will
podium in Paris". Oddly enough TDF's actual podium used to have spaces
for top six finishers--and I suspect it still does. But the comments
above only refer to the top three Olympic-style spots.
