"Automatize"

I'm not sure this is quite right. I can imagine someone saying
"automatize" to mean "reach the point of automaticity, make habitual",
which "automate" cannot possibly mean. And, in fact, AHD, Collins,
MWOLD, Wiktionary and FarLex agree with me.
