I'm not sure what the disagreement is about, but it seems to me like being "pro" stuff or "anti" stuff depends a lot on the stuff, and the wording, which makes it all a bit idle. OK, the left is "anti-gun"? or "pro-gun-control"? The right (broadly speaking) might be "anti-abortion" or "pro-life"; the left is "pro-choice" (or, if you don't like them, "pro-abortion"), or what--"anti-anti-abortion"? "anti-unborn"? I've never heard that one used even as a slur. And if the right is anti-gay marriage or pro-traditional marriage, what does that make the left? "anti-opposite-sex-restriction? "anti-God"? If the right is "pro-death penalty", does that make the left "pro-life"? Oops.
This all seems sort of pointless. Or anti-point.
