1947 citing in Archie Comic of "butthole." What did it mean?

Stop the presses. There is another source of Archie cartoons that has been
overlooked. I distinctly remember bubble gum wrapped in a tiny Archie
cartoon. It was about a restaurant scene and Jughead was holding his nose
at some malodorous fish and saying, {Long time no sea.}.
