exit pollsters with no polling places

In Washington State, we have all mail-in voting. But despite no polling places to exit from, Danny Westneat continues to call pollsters "exit pollsters." http://seattletimes.com/html/dannywestneat/2019655181_danny11.html

There are probably earlier instances of this in relation to Oregon, which has a longer history of all mail-in voting.
