Aphorism: If you shoot at sun you may hit a star

The Dictionary of Modern Proverbs has an entry for the adage:
If you shoot (aim) for the stars, maybe at least you will hit the moon
(get over the trees, etc.).

The Quote Investigator website now has a post under the title “If I
Shoot at the Sun, I May Hit a Star” that examines a group of sayings
that appear to overlap the sayings examined in the DMP, and may be of
