WB: Which dialect is important? All of them! The function of prescriptivism
is to annihilate dialect variation, as effected by usage panels (a.k.a.
dialect death panels). The Occupy ADS-List movement encourages the
self-recording of dialect variation by enlightening the Anglologue
community of the value of an IPA-based orthography. Dialect variation must
be validated and self-recorded, not proscribed and made an object of
humiliation.
