Arnold writes "(The NWS engages here in the usual
confusion between the name of the creator of the
creature Frankenstein in Shelley and the name
for the creature.)" I don't think it's quite
that blatant -- they wrote "ALONG THE LINES OF
FRANKENSTORM, AN ALLUSION TO MARY SHELLEYS
GOTHIC CREATURE OF SYNTHESIZED ELEMENTS." An
allusion is not an identity, and a purist could
take "Frankenstorm" as "the storm created by (Dr.) Frankenstein."
