[SOAPM] Storm

I didn't write down the sentence, but yesterday Gov. Christie, attacking the mayor of Newark, blustered, "I read him say that . . . ."  Like "I heard him say that" but with "read" instead of "heard."  Ungrammatical for me.

In the statement I heard, he was talking about people electrocuting
themselves or starting fires with makeshift equipment they didn't
understand.

Assuming that I'm correct, does that affect his bulb position in the booth?
