Today's OED word of the day, goût de terroir, 1781

These predate 1781, but do they count? They're used in italics in English sentences but both explicitly say it's a term the French use. All the OED's seven quotations use italics, but don't explicitly declare it's French.

1755, William Douglass' Summary of the British Settlements in North-America, The monthly review, or, literary journal - Volume 13 - Page 273:
