Yep. I noticed those as well on my Oct. drive down from MA to MD. Didn't
see them in CT or NJ, or anywhere else along the way. I kept looking for
a special pull-over site, but never identified one. I don't think "text"
is drifting into euphemism, as "rest" does as in "restroom," so it's
still probably just as self-explanatory as "rest stop."
