Jakob Abbadie (aka Jacques Abbadie) died in 1727 according to
Wikipedia. However, irrefutable pictorial evidence available through
the crowdsourced encyclopedia reveals an instance of reincarnation, or
the transmigration of a soul, or maybe just consanguinity. (The death
and birth dates almost line up).

Take a look at the portraits for these two gentlemen given in Wikipedia.

Jakob Abbadie (1654 – 1727) Protestant divine and writer

Jean-Jacques Blaise d'Abbadie (1726 – February 4, 1765, New Orleans)
was the French colonial governor of the Colony of Louisiana in New
France. He served from 1763 to 1765.
