"finance company" (alternating weak-strong-weak-strong) might be an instance of the "rhythm rule" (not just for birth control!), as in "She's fourTEEN" vs. "FOURteen GIRLS". I might pronounce HIGH fi-NANCE that way too, for the same reason, and I'm pretty far from a one-percenter.
