3d sg. present of "undo"?

I just heard a reference on the radio to a Child ballad about a young man who undoes [@ndu:z], i.e. "un-dooz", a charm cast by his mother. Somehow I suspect the speaker is not alone in pronouncing it this way, as opposed to un-does [@nd^z]. The problem is a bit like that in figuring out the past tense of "forgo". I guess the only obvious solution is to say that the young man manages to undo the charm.
