"Sliders" are haute cousine

Apparently the readers of Parade Magazine too are too upper
(toasted?) bun to have understood had the word "sliders" been used.

I learn, however, from Googling "Kobe sliders" that they are known in
about 52,1000 places and about 105 Google Books.
