Nice antedating for piggy/piggie bank. Barry Popik has a valuable
entry on the topic "piggy bank" that has key citations starting in
1898 for "pig bank".

Here is some additional progress - a 1914 cite for: piggy bank:
Cite: 1914 September 1, New York Herald, Women Give Jewelry and Gems
to Aid German Widows and Orphans, Quote Page 15, Column 5, New York,
New York. (Old Fulton)
[Begin excerpt]
Little Annie Scheuerberg, seven years old, of No. 878 Third avenue,
walked into the bureau yesterday with a package under her arm. When
asked what she wanted she replied that she desired to donate her
"piggie bank" to the relief fund. The little "piggie" was broken open
and a handful of pennies with a few nickels and dimes rolled out on
the table.
