The throne in the John

RE: throne 'toilet'.  As I read BB's message, <<throne room>> popped into
my head, as a possible synonym for bathroom. (If every man's home is his
castle, then he ought to have a throne room.) Ghit for throne room
in <Spears Dic. of American Slang 2007.>
     Must confess for imagining <the throne room of God> in this
connection. Positively unthinkable that God (or nuns) would ever need a
bathroom.
