"customer care"

Have we discussed the trend (as it appears to me) of business changing their "customer service" departments/desks/agents to "customer care"?  Presumably it's friendlier to cared for than to be serviced.  Maybe because, back on the farm, bulls euphemistically "serviced" cows?
