Comparing nice

nice, adj.; comparative = good; superlative = wonderful.

Has "Have a nice day" become too formulaic and thus ineffective? I
hear on occasion "Have a good day", and today I noticed (although it
may in times past have gone in one ear and out the other) "Have a
wonderful day".
