Denying climate

The _Daily Kos_ refers to Congressman Pete Sessions as a "racist climate denier."  My first thought was that Republicans are now maintaining that climate itself is a liberal fiction.  Or that they wish to deny climate, along with food, to the needy.

But the phrase "climate denier" gets a substantial 73,400 raw Google hits--plus a significant number in Google Books and Google News.
