Ben Zimmer in WSJ on "sugarcoating"

Ben Zimmer has an interesting column in the Sat./Sun. (Oct. 26-27, 2013) Wall Street Journal:
"Apothecaries Lend a  Phrase to Politicians."

President Obama, in admitting the problems with the rollout of Healthcare.gov, said: "There's no sugarcoating it," and that led Ben to write about ways to make the taking of bitter pills less disagreeable. One method, introduced in the 19th century, was to sugarcoat them.

I'll use this item in my Etymology class.
