Coastal Carolina University is excited to host the 81st meeting of the Southeastern Conference on Linguistics (SECOL). SECOL 81 will be held March 27-29 at the Embassy Suites Resort in sunny North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

This year's conference will focus on the theme of Atlantic Englishes broadly conceived, although submissions are welcomed on all topics of linguistics and language. See the call for papers for more information.

SECOL is the oldest regional linguistic association in the US, and is dedicated to the advancement of the study of language in all its aspects. The annual spring conference provides a venue for SECOL members to read and discuss scholarly papers. SECOL also publishes peer-reviewed articles and book reviews in The Southern Journal of Linguistics. For more info on SECOL, visit www.secol.org<http://www.secol.org>

The conference website including the call for papers, hotel location, reservation information, and a link for abstract submission can be found at http://ww2.coastal.edu/secol81/. Please contact the organizers at secol81contact at gmail.com<mailto:secol81contact at gmail.com> if you have any questions.

We look forward to seeing everyone at the beach in March!
