'novel' strikes again

Last time we looked, it meant any book of narrative prose - or at least a
book.

But now....

Amazon advertises John Steinbeck's nonfiction wartime account _Bomber Crew_
as,

"A magnificent volume of short novels and an essential World War II report
from one of America's great twentieth-century writers."

(That's Amazon talking, not a semi-literate "reviewer.")

The "novels" are chapters.

Coming soon: "novel" = 'short poem.'
