I know "Enhanced Interrogation Techniques" has been around since, oh, 2004 or so as a euphemism for "torture".  But with the torture apologists making the rounds of the Sunday talk shows, led of course by Cheney, there seems to be a now widely practiced use of "EITs", thereby allowing the suppression of the first-order euphemism, a la "STD", "E.D.", etc.
