"Koolah", 1802, Trove:

[Begin]
Two men who some days since crossed a
part of the Mountains in quest of birds and
native animals, were by chance, presented
with the appearance of a living substance on
one of the extreme branches of a very lofty
tree ; which being inaccessible, reduced them
to the necessity of shaking the creature off,
and killed it by the fall. It proved to be a
very large and handsome Koolah (in appear-
ance resembling the Sloth), of which they
preserved the skin.
