Another GWB-gate

The New York Times print edition today managed to end-of-line
hyphenate it as "Brid-gegate".  Does this mean the intrepid
investigative reporters, legislators, and prosecutors will uncover
some sexual aspects?  Or, considering the use of what looks like a
German past participle, that the scandal has passed over?
