_microfiche_: "count" oder nicht?

<<sheets of microfiche>>: I recall smallish, little larger than file-card
sized microfiches (ergo countable fuer mich) at the UCLA research library
(late '70s or early '80s), for new acquisitions; available to public on
request, reading in situ on machine (real pain in the butt). I think this
was a transitory phase from the card catalog to ultimate digital. For a
long time, older books stayed on paper cards, while newer acquisitions got
fed into the MACHINE AGE.
