I am emoji-illiterate, so thanks for sending that link along.

But I read this line in the article: "the Unicode Consortium, the 
nonprofit devoted to emoji standardization across platforms, recently 
said it would add 250 emoji to Apple, Microsoft and Google products" and 
had to read it aloud to my husband, following it up with, "Well, that 
may be one thing they do, but they're not devoted to it" and an 
exasperated "Jesus H. Christ" for good measure.
