During my years of studying vocational agriculture in high school, the teacher waged a valiant and futile effort to make us rustic lads replace our native "tits" with his book-larned "teats."

But that doesn't preclude a preference for "teats" in *my* speech, does it,
especially when it appears to coincide with the personal preference of at
