WOTY -- "upskirting" -- a viral supernova?

The Massachusetts General Court, in an unbelievably short time, has
passed a law closing the open zipper in the "upskirting" law, and the
governor is expected to sign it tomorrow. (I hope that the rush did
not result in any blunders!)

So it may have been viral,* but it may be short-lived. Is there a
category for "shortest-lived candidate WOTY"?

* "Inside Edition" I think claimed today that it was featured on
every news program all over the country.
