Antedatings of "Skid Row"

Interestingly, the 1923 cite show up in the _Joplin(MO) Globe_ 26 June 1923 (newspaperarchive.com).  No source for the story other than a "Shelby, Montana June 25."  Does the Ottawa paper offer where their story originated?
