1913 _Voice of the People_ 4 Sept. 4/4 (Newspapers.com)  Miss Carpenter arrived in an auto and cast anchor at Main and Stevens streets, a vicinity infested by bands of Volunteers, Starvationists, Single Taxers, Wobblies and other pests.
