Don't see the folk-etymology of <exacerbate> to <exasperate>. I do see
metathesis of <serb> to <sper>, i.e. [s + syllabic-r + b] to [s +
unaspirated-p + syllabic-r]. Unless a spelling checker is at the bottom of
this. How many words could a spelling checker check, if a spelling checker
could ...
And how come it was okay for the reclining woman to have KNITTING
NEEDLES on the airplane??? I sure the hell wouldn't have argued with her.
