Back in the day,
"It is clearly the case that ..."
was all but obligatorily the introductory phrase of any kind of exposition,
explication, discussion, and argumentation in the MIT Linguistics Dept.
"Due to the fact (that)..."
is so overused in BE by speakers ranging from boojies to boiz in the 'hood
that It annoyed me to see it in print. Is a simple "because" infra dig?
