It's the mirror-image of St. Louis BE, "skinny-tire bike," also referred to
as an "English racer," because, at that time - WWII et seq. - the only
bicycle of this type know to us coloreds, in that day, was manufactured by
the Raleigh Bicycle Company, Ltd., of Nottingham. I remember their ads in
Esquire, The Magazine for Men.
