[Ads-l] Nominations for 2014 Word of the Year

"Normcore" is what Dilbert normally wears. Currently he's wearing some weird tubular outfit that isn't normcore at all.

I was surprised that #BringBackOurGirls didn't make the list of notable hashtags. Nominations tend to be biased in favor of recency.

I was also surprised to see "sugar-dating," rather than the more distinctive "sugaring." I think "sugaring" is quite a bit more common, although it's hard to be sure, because "sugaring" is also used for a kind of depilation, and of course for the process of gathering maple sugar.

Why does "baeless" mean "single"?

A couple of thoughts --

even (v.) -- from "to even out"? If so, the definition doesn't
include the sense of "to level" (make even).

lumbersexual -- I'm afraid I can only see the Lumberjack from the
Monty Python sketch. Well, at least it was put into the "Most
Unnecessary" group.

normcore -- is that what Dilbert is wearing currently?
