Reminds me--I wonder how many viewers following the story of Greece's referendum got confused by the fact that /nE:/ (<naí>, modulo the alphabet) = 'yes'. Of course everyone will know that /'oxi/ = 'no' based their familiarity with Aristotle and Sophocles, but the /nE:/ will garden-path most speakers of other Indo-European languages.
