in place of "deep-seated"
As usual, I'm behind the curve: 320,000 raw G-hits, including an astounding
number - i.e. more than one - of pswaydo-etymologies in justification of
"deep-seeded" as the "proper" form.
A question arises: is there, in fact, a distinction between [d] and
"flapped" [t]/?

come from the mouths of people who have had to live.
