Don't need all that sci-fi, Larry.  Our ancestors are on high, looking down at us and after our best interests.  And all others -- that is, those not our ancestors -- will not know or care about us.  Natch.

Well, our ancestors have been traveling into the future to keep track of how their DNA is doing, while our descendants are too busy with their social media and smart phone apps and hi-tech gaming to care about anything else.
