Agree, the normal U.S. Army usage is "Carry on."

the American equivalent is, "As you were."
The American equivalent is, in fact, "Carry on!" and it's used by NCO's as
well as by officers.
Those with long memories will recall that I've been whining about this as
long as I've been posting to this listserv.
