For a very long time, I thought that the latter name was "Abindigo." When I
discovered that it was "Abednego," I thought that I must have misunderstood
it. Then, after about seventy years, I again heard the spiritual from which
I had originally learned about the "three Hebrew children" and the singers
*clearly* used "Abindigo." Today, I find in W:pedia,

"Abednego (sometimes spelled _Abendigo_)"
