Subject: [ADS-L] Motto: The customer is always right - journalist request
A journalist at Slate contacted me about the motto "The customer is
always right". (The story angle involves a recently released movie.)
Back in February 2011 I posted a message to the list on this topic
that included a citation dated September 24, 1905 that attributed the
guidance to Marshall Field:

The Dictionary of Modern Proverbs lists the two citations given in my
ADS-L message.
I am planning to create a quick abbreviated entry for the website
primarily based on the previous message. New citations or feedback
welcome.
Thanks, Garson
