Back in 1953, I heard on the radio an instrumental by Van "Piano Man" Walls
with the title, "Blue Cinder." Given that cold cinders are grey and hot
cinders, should they have a color, are red, the title, as much as the tune
itself, "fired my imagination," as The Stones put it.
After I opened the package, finding that the title was the mundane "Blue
Sender" was a bring-down.
Those who were around during the '60's may recall The Pastel Six,
one-hit-wonders with a tune called "Cinnamon Sender." Perusing a list of
such one-hit-wonders has imparted to me the knowledge that the correct
title is "Cinnamon Cinder."
Youneverknow.

come from the mouths of people who have had to live.
