[Ads-l] Facebook: "to eye off"

In the news recently was the story of a black male auto driver stopped and interrogated by a while police officer who was passing him on the road.  The police officer's reason for stopping the driver?  He was eyeing me off.  (The driver had taken video of the encounter, which was shown on the TV news.)


Well, the policeman actually said something like "because you were starting at me."  And while perhaps only slightly related to Wilson's examples, seems like a natural extension.
