The documentary film _Meru_ features  extreme alpinist Conrad Anker
confessing on the rock wall of Meru Peak (in 2008, IIRC), "I'm roasted."

At first I thought he meant thoroughly exhausted, but the consensus at
UrbanD is that "roasted" usu. means 'beaten or defeated.'
